Haircuts Are My Secret Passion
For such a haircuts and hairstyles obsessed person as I actually am, the topic of hair and different haircuts is music to my ears! I cannot tell you how many times in my life I have dreamed of cutting and dyeing my hair but every time (well, I made an exception before my prom)I stopped myself. Frankly, I’m terribly afraid of losing my hair, as it is thin.
However, it’s a kind of stuff I cannot control and that’s going to happen whether I like it or not. So maybe I should really try to have fun with it, shouldn’t I? (the great idea from the dictation, I know) Hmm, sounds so enticing.
Anyway, let’s get down to business. I was asked to read about hair colors and styles that are popular right now. So I did it, and I LOVED it a lot. Moreover, I picked up some new words. Here are they.
PIXIE — a very short hairstyle for women, where hair is cropped close to the head and face. It looks a little boyish, but for me, it’s very elegant (especially if a woman with a pixie haircut has delicate face features). And it’s in trend in 2019!
Also, I’ve looked at some different kinds of pixie haircuts and my favorite is definitely pixie with shaved sides. Just look how gorgeous it is (see the attached photo).
THE TOUSED LOB — the cut which frames the face and ends at shoulder length. The hair should be a little messy.
BALAYAGE — a method of hair coloring in which color is painted onto someone’s hair thickly at the ends and less and less thickly towards the head, creating a natural look
THE BLUNT HAIRCUT — a haircut for which a stylist cuts straight across an individual’s hair in a dramatic way to actually make the hair appear straighter.
The haircut is not generally used on people with curly or wavy hair, because it usually does not look as good and sharp as it looks on straight hair, but still, it’s possible.
Besides, while reading the article, I fell in love with such color as a platinum blond. Gosh, it looks so chic! However, it’s quite hard to take care of this color especially when the whole your hair is dyed platinum blond. I know what I’m talking about because it’s even hard to take proper care of my ash blond ends. And, honestly, I’d like to dye my hair platinum blond or even grey (yeah… grey would be perfect). Maybe one day (:
Also, I wanted to try on some celebrities hairstyles and a virtual makeover but I failed in finding my photo. That’s why I decided to choose a model and create a look for her.
I tried to use only natural colors not to make her look older. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the grey color, but even this is great. I guess, the woman looks simple but elegant.
