Day 3

Wow, it’s been such a busy day! I had a lot planned for today, so I barely could find time for English. Oh no, I’m just kidding! I’ll always have time for English in my life, because it means a lot for me.

Well, today I did several grammar tests on LinguaLeo which were Upper-Intermediate level. I made a few mistakes, but, in general, it was good (oh, I didn’t think of making screenshots, unfortunately). Then I decided to revise the rules in which I had made a mistake to fill the gaps. Some days later I’m going to do similar grammar tests again.

I didn’t feel like writing a dictation tonight, so I postponed listening to Jobs’ speech till tomorrow. Instead, I’ve finished watching the first season of HIMYM !!! I’m kind of happy about it. By the way, there is one enthralling thing about the sitcom. It bowls me over that every minute while watching the sitcom I come across a word or a set phrase which we have studied during our English classes! Every minute, believe me. For me it’s so strange but so inspiring, I can’t express my feelings yet, but I’m overwhelmed.

As always here are some new words.

Subdue — to reduce the force of something, or to prevent something from existing or developing

Subtle — loud, bright, noticeable, or obvious in any way

Cranky — easily annoyed or upset

Berserk — very angry or out of control

Also, I paid my attention to a phrase: “When it’s after 2.00 A.M., just go to sleep. Nothing good happens after 2 A.M.” When I heard it, one song came to my mind. It goes like “All my favorite conversations always made in the AM ’cause we don’t know what we’re saying”. Hmm, I guess I should think it over (:
